Tub Faucet

My wife was giving the kids a bath the other day and the vacuum lever that deverts the water to the sprayer broke off. Does anyone know if you can find a new lever/plunger or will I have to buy a whole new faucet?
Thanks in advance.

RE: Fresh Water Tank

thanks everybody for the input. My wife likes to wash the kids up in the tub at night with a little water but it is amazing how fast a person can go through water when you are not used to rationing it.
Thanks Again

RE: Fresh Water Tank

I'm talking about putting in more water from jugs and such while camping after the fresh water has run out.

Fresh Water Tank

Instead of trying to pour water into the outside fill hole for the fresh water tank, has anyone attempted to add a fill hole on the top of the tank? Maybe something that can screw in and out?
Thanks in advance.

RE: Loud furnace

Thanks everybody for the replies. I took off the end cap of the furnace housing. There are a couple of screws right at the end going into the floor.(It is a Suburban by the way.) As far as I can tell those are the only exposed screws. If I take those out, will the furnace just pull away from the wall or is there more to it that I'm not seeing?
Also when I looked inside with a light from the end there was a regular fan at the opposite end. Would mine be set up differently or is that not the blower fan?
Thanks

RE: hot water heater

I am new to this but I was told your water heater will fill when you turn on the hot water at the faucet. By running the faucet it pumps water into the tank.
Also I wouldn't bother turning it on before you go. It only takes 15-30 minutes to heat up.

RE: Loud furnace

I've always known about my loose marbles. I didn't think about there being something inside of the fan. I'll have to take a look.
Thanks

Loud furnace

Hello everybody,
With the cold temps up north this year our furnace had to run quite a bit over the last few night out camping for the first time with a camper. I know camper furnaces are loud but how much noise should it make?
I understand that the blower makes noise but when the fan kicks in, there is a tinging sound until the fan gets up to speed. Again when the fan starts to shut down and is almost stopped we get the ting, ting, ting sound again. Any ideas?
I would like to take the housing off but don't want to open a can of worms. Can I safely take off the housing and take a look or could that mess things up?
I know pretty soon we won't be needing it any longer but it is enough to wake us up when it kicks in.
Thanks in advance.

RE: New Trailer

Just so everybody knows we didn't have to go to walmart one time. I did however right down about 20 things that we could have used. Simple things that we completely overlooked that would make certain things so much easier. We also got a list together of what needs to be added.(coat hooks, Towel racks etc.) All in all though it went well and just so you know I saw you watching me back in and yell at my wife. You know who you are and you're sick I tell ya.
Thanks,
Nick

Gray Water Level

We got out for the first time with our new to us TT. Things went very well. A little cold and the furnace fan made some racket when it would first start up and stop but I'll have to take a look at that. (If anyone has a thought on that I'm all ears.)
Part way though the third day we checked the water levels. The gray tank was reading 1/3. Then when it was pushed again later, the 2/3 full light would come on for a second or two and then turn off. If you checked it again right away the 2/3 would not come on but only the 1/3. When it was checked again later, the 2/3 would be on again for another second or two and then turn off again. Later that day it read full and water started coming out of the tub drain shortly after
with little warning.
I know this sounds kind of confusing but I think I gave the gist of it. Does anyone have an idea as to where to start. Does it sound like a sensor or some crud on the tank? This is all very new to me and any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Drinking water hoses

Well we just got back from our first time out with the TT. It went very well and we didn't have to run to the store once. Mainly because of all of the advice we got from this site. We did come up with a list of about 20 things to take along next time and about 7 things that need to be fixed or tweaked.
As I was putting things away I came to the water hoses. What does everybody do with them. Do you drain them, hang them, fill them or what? I don't want it to get all gross inside. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Alot,
Nick

RE: Fold out step rugs

I have a piece of paper machine screen that we use. It is like tightly woven fishing line. It works awesome and you can find it for free if you know someone in a mill.

RE: Power to trailer

I do have a converter to charge when I'm at home but when the trailer battery gets down when on the road camping it takes quite a while to charge it back up from the TV.

RE: New Trailer

I plan on that. Our first trip is only about 15 miles from our house and 5 miles from a walmart. Hopefully that will help.

Power to trailer

Hey everybody,
Pretty new to the forum and to trailering in general. I noticed it takes considerable time to charge the trailer battery while hooked up to the TV. I was told that it's because the line coming from the TV is pretty small and only so much juice can come through. Has anyone added a larger gauge wire directly from the TV battery to the trailer and if so did it work?
Thanks,
Nick

New Trailer

Hello All,
My wife and I finally picked up our new to us trailer. We are taking the family on the first excursion starting this next Sunday. I feel pretty confident and I think that we are prepared. I was wondering about the unknowns though. Is there anything that you guys could offer that you think a new guy might overlook? Maybe things that you might have not thought about before your first trip. I have done alot of research but I know there are things that we forgot about. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Nick
